Be advised you are being charged $40 diagnostic fees, Mark up on parts, upon hour rates and whatever else they want. Brought my truck here because my normal shop was a little busy. I knew the wheel bearing was going out on the passenger side, driver side just went out and was replaced so I gave them a call got scheduled and learned the price was double what I just paid for the other at a shop down the street. I was asking questions for the breakdown and the guy starts getting an attitude yapping about me asking to bring in the part in. Yes bc It’s literally 1 hour in labor and a part that retails for 125$ so how am I being charged almost 500$. Anyway I paid them the 40$ and did the job myself since they ruined my work day anyway. Couldn’t imagine paying these kind of prices every time something minor goes wrong. Find a new shop
Thank you for your feedback. First, Ryan your facts are very wrong about the events of yesterday. When you first called to set up your appointment you told us your problem was a ball joint, at that time we told you there was a diagnostic charge. When you arrived for your appointment you told my associate that it wasn’t the ball joint, instead it’s the passenger front wheel bearing. You asked if you could supply your own parts. We explained to you that as a policy we do not install customer parts. When we called you about our diagnosis, we gave you a complete estimate to replace the wheel bearing for $411.75, which includes parts, labor and taxes. You stated that it was too expensive compared to what the other shop charged you. You, again, wanted us to allow you to supply your own parts, and again I said no. You declined the repairs and said you were going to get the other shop to install your parts as it would be cheaper. I agreed with you that it might be your better option. I’m sorry things did not work out to your satisfaction here at Tyres Auto, but at no time did anyone display an attitude to you or anyone else with you. Tom Stafford, General Manager
